BLACK FRIDAY ATTRACTED MORE CONSUMERS IN 2017 BUT SPENDING WAS LOW, SURVEY SHOWS (December 3, 2017)

GREEKS BOUGHT MAINLY FOOD AND CLOTHES OVER CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS-MARLAB POLL Food and clothes were the main items purchased by Greeks over the Christmas holidays, a poll by the marketing laboratory (MARLAB) of the University of Macedonia revealed on Sunday, with 85 percent of respondents saying they shopped during the holidays. According to the data, 15 percent of participants said they didn’t buy anything, citing as main reasons a lack of money (43 pct), lack of time (23 pct), lack of need (20 pct) and crowdedness in stores (7 pct). “ΒLACK FRIDAY” SURVEY RESULTS (4/12/2016)

Greek consumers did not embrace Greece’s first ‘Black Friday’ to the degree that retailers might have hoped, according to a survey carried out by the Macedonia University’s Marketing Laboratory (MARLAB) and unveiled on Sunday. Only 32 pct of a survey sample responding to the internet poll, posted on various Facebook pages and LinkedIn, did any shopping on November 25, the first day that “Black Friday” was introduced in Greece.
